The Asian International Seminar on Atomic and Molecular Physics (AISAMP), held biennially, brings together scientists from across the Asia-Pacific region to present their latest results, exchange ideas, and foster international collaboration. Since its inaugural meeting in 1985, the AISAMP series have provided a unique and expansive platform for researchers from Japan, India, China, Korea, Taiwan, Australia, Vietnam and beyond to contribute and connect.
The 16th AISAMP will be held at the Institute of Atomic and Molecular Sciences, Academia Sinica from October 26 (Mon.) to October 30 (Fri.), 2026, on the lively and scenic campus of National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan. The local organizing committee consists of members from Academia Sinica and National Tsing Hua University in the fields of Physics, Chemistry and Material Science.
The meeting is designed to foster interaction across all career stages, providing opportunities for faculty members, postdoctoral researchers, and students to engage in active discussions.
Topics of AISAMP16 include:
• Atomic and molecular structure, spectroscopy, and collisions
• Precision spectroscopy and metrology
• Strong-field and ultrafast laser physics
• Laser cooling and trapping of atoms and molecules
• Ultracold quantum gases
• Quantum information science
